ENCRYPTED SYNTAX LABS
Privacy Policy
This policy explains the information processed when you visit Encrypted Syntax Labs, create a customer account, purchase or download a product, request support, or move between Encrypted Syntax Labs, Encrypted Syntax Institute, and ESI Academy.
Who we are
Encrypted Syntax Labs is the digital-product division of Encrypted Syntax Institute LLC. This policy applies to encryptedsyntaxlabs.com and to related product, account, checkout, download, licensing, activation, and support activities controlled by Encrypted Syntax Institute LLC.
Information we collect
Information you provide. We may receive your name, email address, telephone number, billing or mailing address, organization, account preferences, product selections, order references, support request, and other information you choose to submit. Please do not send passwords, access keys, regulated data, or sensitive security information.
Account, purchase, and delivery records. When you use our direct store, we process customer-account details, cart contents, products purchased, price, currency, payment status, tax and invoice records, download eligibility, license or activation status, refunds, cancellations, and transaction references. Stripe or another disclosed payment processor handles complete payment-card data; we do not intend to store complete card numbers or security codes on this website.
Technical and security information. Our hosting, security, and commerce systems may process IP address, browser and operating-system information, device class, screen or viewport dimensions, language, time zone, timestamps, requested pages, diagnostic logs, cookie identifiers, authentication and session events, fraud indicators, and information needed to protect accounts, purchases, downloads, and systems. Exact location is not requested; location reporting is limited to an approximate region derived from network information when available.
Analytics information, with permission where required. If you allow analytics, we may record landing and exit pages, pages viewed, referral source, campaign parameters, broad device and browser details, new or returning status, navigation and engagement events, internal-search activity after filtering, product and category views, add-to-cart activity, checkout progress, completed purchases, refunds, and other conversion events. We use Google Analytics through Google Site Kit and may use privacy-focused first-party reporting. We do not use analytics to record passwords, payment-card fields, private form contents, keystrokes, exact GPS location, unrelated browsing history, or device fingerprints.
How we collect information
Information may be collected directly from you; automatically through essential website, account, security, and commerce technologies; through analytics technologies you permit; and from service providers involved in hosting, payments, email, licensing, delivery, fraud prevention, or marketplace transactions.
How we use information
- Operate, secure, maintain, and improve the website, store, accounts, products, and support services.
- Process orders, payments, downloads, licenses, activations, refunds, and customer requests.
- Understand how visitors find our sites, which devices and pages they use, and where purchase or support journeys succeed or fail.
- Measure product interest and lawful marketing performance without building profiles about unrelated browsing.
- Detect abuse, fraud, unauthorized access, and threats to customers or systems.
- Maintain business, accounting, tax, dispute, and legal records.
- Send administrative or transactional messages and, where permitted, marketing communications that you can unsubscribe from.
Cookies and privacy choices
Essential technologies support security, accounts, carts, checkout, downloads, fraud prevention, and site operation and cannot always be disabled without losing those functions. Nonessential analytics technologies are controlled through the site’s privacy choices where required. You may choose Essential Only or allow Analytics, and you may change that choice later through the Privacy Choices link. Continuing to browse is not treated as consent where affirmative consent is required.
We honor recognized browser opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, where legally applicable. Marketing and cross-site advertising technologies are not enabled merely because analytics is allowed.
Purchases and third-party services
Direct purchases may involve WooCommerce and Stripe. When you choose an Etsy or other external-marketplace link, that provider processes the transaction under its own policy and terms, and we receive the seller information it makes available. Service providers may process information only as needed to provide hosting, security, payments, email, analytics, delivery, licensing, support, and related business functions.
Movement between ESI websites
Encrypted Syntax Labs, Encrypted Syntax Institute, and ESI Academy are operated by the same company. With analytics permission where required, we may use limited campaign parameters or an opaque identifier to understand the journey between these sites. We do not transmit passwords, complete payment data, private lab commands, or form contents for this purpose, and we do not use the feature to observe browsing outside ESI-owned services.
Disclosure of information
We may disclose information to service providers acting for us; when you direct or consent to a disclosure; to comply with valid legal process; or when reasonably necessary to protect customers, the public, our rights, or system security. We do not knowingly sell personal information for money or use it for targeted advertising across unrelated websites. If those practices change, we will update this policy and provide legally required choices before enabling them.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here. Analytics identifiers and event data may be retained for up to 14 months unless a shorter period is configured. Security records may be retained longer when needed to investigate an incident, prevent fraud, resolve a dispute, or meet legal obligations. Orders, licenses, tax, accounting, and transaction records may be retained for legally required business periods. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, but no website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of information associated with you, and to opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, sharing, or profiling practices. You may also withdraw analytics permission and unsubscribe from marketing messages. We may verify your identity and may retain information where permitted or required for orders, licenses, fraud prevention, disputes, tax, accounting, or legal obligations.
Requests and appeals may be sent to info@encryptedsyntaxinstitute.com. We will respond as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Children
This website and its products are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 supplied personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it when required.
International visitors
Encrypted Syntax Institute LLC is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and in locations where our disclosed service providers operate, subject to applicable law and safeguards.
Policy changes
We may update this policy as our products, providers, analytics, or legal obligations change. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page, and additional notice will be provided when required.
